“The Kingmaker” by Kennedy Ryan Review

First of all , what the hell is that ending. Kennedy ma’am please don’t play with my emotions I loved this book so much that I read it in one go forfeiting sleep and when I was done I looked like a zombie . This is the first book im reading of Kennedy and im so sure now that I have opened a new place in my heart

I loved the interracial romance and strong female lead. The kingmaker gives just that . The man of the day is a son of an extremely wealth business man, brother of an ambitious politician, Ladies and Gentlemen meet Maxim Kingman Wade. Oh the love I have for maxim. Maxim is a beautiful, intelligent and driven man. He understands the community and his white privilege and is out to make a change in the world .

Our female lead is Lennix Moon Hunter, an indigenous Indian American. Her Activist mother and environment help shape her into the woman she is .Lennix is a driven woman who wishes to fight for her people, she her land and most importantly fight the good fight.

When Maxim and lennnix meet for the first time at a protest , they know that the connection they feel is real. When they meet four years later in Amsterdam, they finally collide and unfortunately it is cut short . The chemistry and tension is still felt ten years later as thought it was yesterday. Now they are at the peak of their careers, and nothing stands in their way.

The kingmaker is an incredible well written story which brings awareness to the disappearances and crimes done to indigenous people which go unnoticed or ignored. I loved every bit of the book and I’m running 🏃🏽‍♀️ to read the next book in the series “The Rebel King” . I rate this book 5/5🌟
